This year, as the nation commemorates
the 400th anniversary of the Flight of the Earls, the Mc Glinchey Summer School
explores Inishowen at that time in our history.
La Trinidad Valencera of Armada fame, the O’Doherty Castles
and the Established Churches throughout the peninsula
are all physical evidence of this period.
The Annals of the Four Masters and
Carndonagh man John Colgan’s Acta Sanctorum Hiberniae
also date from the 17th century.
